As the founder of Bowes Legal, Jane had a strong ethical stance to take against the large corporates. Observing the industry, especially in regional towns, we noticed a distressing trend: vulnerable, injured individuals were being taken advantage of by firms that overcharged and under-delivered.
These injured people, often facing only one opportunity for a settlement, were exploited due to their lack of knowledge, frequently resulting in financial hardship even after their cases were resolved.

She is a true local, born in Rockhampton and has lived in Central Queensland her whole life, making her local connection truly invaluable. Having worked with some of the largest and most prestigious law firms, Jayde has been trained to an exceptional standard and exemplifies professionalism and dedication in every task. She is a firecracker and will not stand for clients being pushed around by insurers.

Having remained local and loyal to Central Queensland, Courtney’s connection to the area and its people is unmatched.
Courtney brings a wealth of experience to Bowes Legal, having worked not only in personal injuries litigation, her expertise also includes commercial matters such as leasing, business sales and purchases, as well as property law covering both residential and rural transactions. She has also handled wills and estates, along with commercial and estate disputes. This diverse background equips Courtney with the skills and knowledge to navigate complex legal issues effectively.
As a proud local, Courtney has an intimate understanding of the Central Queensland community and the unique working conditions that its residents face. This connection fuels her desire to work in an area of law that truly helps people. Courtney’s commitment to the community is evident in her extensive involvement in local organisations. She serves as the Chief Training Officer at the Emu Park Surf Lifesaving Club, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and skills of its members. In addition, she is a key member of the Management Committee of the Emu Park Surf Lifesaving Club, contributing to the strategic direction and governance of the club.

Beyond her lifesaving work, Courtney is a Director of REACH, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing affordable housing for those less fortunate. Her passion for service also extends to the Central Queensland Community Legal Centre, where she volunteers her legal expertise to help those in need.

Courtney is also actively involved in the legal community, participating in the Central Queensland Law Association, Young Lawyers, and Young Professionals groups. Her dedication to both her profession and her community highlights her as a well-rounded and compassionate advocate.
